Welcome to SAHA

A Family and All Breed Horse Club

The Strathcona All-Breed Horse Association is a non-profit organization that welcomes horse enthusiasts from all breeds and disciplines.

We are dedicated to the enjoyment of our equine companions and to the promotion of education and safety in the care, handling and enjoyment of horses is number one for us!

Our members benefit from clinics, seminars, horse shows, family focused equine events and social events for all ages.

NOTE TO SAHA MEMBERS

Your Board of Directors met on August 31, 2021 to review the status of SAHA in these unusual times.

Based on the current situation and with the new guidelines being put in place due to the spread of the Delta virus we feel we are really on hold with most events.

We also had some discussion on what direction the club should take longer term -- should we continue monthly meetings? should we focus only on specific events like horse shows, clinics, etc.? should we have social events like our Christmas party?  (Planning for a Christmas party this year would be determined by the situation later this fall).

We need your feedback on all of this and would greatly appreciate your input with regards to what direction we should take.

We would love to hear from you with ..

> Suggestions on activities you would like to see happen

> A commitment of your time in assisting with the organizing of events

> Ideas of any specific activity you would like to organize

We do understand everyone has commitments but many hands make light work for all (or whatever that saying is).

Thanks and we look forward to hearing from all of you.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic this years contest is is postponed hopefully in 2022 we will be able to have our monthly meetings  so we can start this contest back up. Annual Member Slogan and Photograph Contest!
Every year SAHA holds a Slogan and Photograph Contest for members.

Congratulations to Carla Hennig for her winning 2018 photograph of "Silverberry Ride" and to Maggie Portas for her winning slogan:
